You would not be disappointed in starting this book, but be warned: The ending will leave you dangling off a cliff. Don't worry, I'll scoot over to make some room for you to dangle next to me.

I can’t express in words the impact that this fantasy novel has left on me. It’s more than just a novel, and I don’t recommend picking it up if you’re not emotionally prepared.

Holy rollercoaster ride this was. This book is BIG. It was dark and truly gut wrenching. It was action packed. Vikings. epic fantasy. Found family. Truly an impactful read.

Men need to protect children, and if you aren't moved or compelled to that duty by the end of this book, there has to be something wrong with you.

I was honored to be allowed an advanced copy to review... Wow that narrator, he full on committed himself to these characters and I loved every minute of it.

I never truly knew what was coming next. Every time I thought I'd uncovered the biggest twist, another revelation left me reeling. That is the mark of an incredible storyteller.

Truly reminded me of the Netflix series Vikings. It brings truth to the surface of real events in our world today that is very hard to deal with and digest. These truths need to be brought to light to conquer the darkness.

[This book] will make you think, break your heart, and likely bring you to tears, but it’s the kind of book that stays with you long after you’ve turned the final page.

If you love Vikings, epic battles and saving children—THIS IS YOUR BOOK. I had high expectations, and this destroyed them—it is SO. MUCH. BETTER.

This may be my favorite book of all time. I highly recommend [it] for fans of Lord of the Rings, Braveheart, and all thinks Viking.
